Drama  Drama

Drama is designed to introduce the student to the fields of both interpretative speaking (poetry, short stories, readers’ theatre, choric speaking, etc.) and dramatic production (acting, staging, and play production). Students will first participate in the production and staging of a play during first semester. Following the play, students will participate in a variety of interpretative speech runoffs. The second semester will involve preparation for the category of MAACS they are chosen to participate in. The goal of the class is to help students feel more comfortable speaking in front of others and to help them see how drama can be used in their local churches to glorify the Lord.
