The Tri-City Music Department is excited about the great progress that was made last year in the music program. It has been encouraging to see and hear of all the parental support. This support is crucial for the program's success. 
     We will again be offering private piano, instrumental, and voice lessons to your young people during the school day. There is a listing of all lessons offered on the attached sheet. Pre-piano lessons are offered to K-4 and K-5 students only. These lessons will be taught in a group setting and will be billed at one-half the cost of private music instruction. This is a valuable music learning opportunity for those students who would consider any type of music lessons in the future.
     Students involved in the band program will receive group instruction as part of their band experience if they are in the 4th - 8th grade. Students in the 6th – 8th grade are encouraged to take privately but they will receive group lessons if private lessons are not financially feasible. Band students in the 9th – 12th grades are strongly encouraged to take private lessons, as they will greatly increase their progress and the progress of the Tri-City band program.
     Parents of students taking private lessons will be billed monthly at a rate of $45 per month (9 months) or $405 per school year. This will be added to your regular school account. Students are guaranteed a minimum of 30 lessons per year. Please keep in mind that signing up for lessons is a commitment of time and money, and students are not permitted to drop lessons prior to the Christmas break. (Please note: private lessons given by Mr. Brauninger will be charged a higher rate and these fees will be paid directly to him. Please contact Pastor Bishop with any questions.)
     To enroll your child, simply fill out the Music Student Application Form and return it to the school office by September 2, 2008. You will be contacted by one of our teachers regarding lesson times for the upcoming school year. If your child is currently taking lessons with a Tri-City Christian School music teacher, it is still necessary to fill out an application form.
