| Saturday - Monday, January 19, 2009 Friday night the teams had some fellowship time before heading to bed. The girls had a special time of fun fellowship with our rivals, and friends, from Eagle Heights.
Saturday morning after breakfast we packed the bus and headed to the gym. It was good to see the Missouri teams cheering for each other--TC for the Eagle Heights girls and EH for the TC guys.
The guys played the home team in the championship game, winning 66-42, making the tournament a "Missouri Sweep."

| Mall of America - Saturday, January 17, 2009 Friday the teams were able to spend a little bit of their free time at the Mall of America in Bloomington (in the Twin Cities area). After the girls' game we loaded the bus for the 35 minute drive and was able to spend an hour and a half "sight seeing" and enjoying the shops and amusement park at the mall. This was the first time most of the students had been able to go to this large, famous mall. Not only were the teams able to enjoy this Minnesota tourist destination, they were able to have a fun time connecting with their team mates and coaches. Everyone had a good time.
After the Mall, we headed back to the gym for the guys' game. Then we attended the team chapel and a Hot Shot competition where Tim Shelp represented the Crusaders. |

| Thursday - Thursday, January 15, 2009The Crusaders left TC on a cold morning to head up to Minnesota travelling in a school bus and van. Many layers of clothing were worn and blankets and boots helped to keep us somewhat comfortable dispite the negative temperatures. We made quick rest and lunch stops along the way. The teams arrived at Chisago Lakes Baptist School at 3:50 pm, just in time for the teams to unload and get ready for the girls' game against Eagle Heights. The weather is very cold, but we are thankful for our drivers who have met us at the door to reduce our time in the cold.
