Saturday Results

TC ended up in the 5th place game against CAGSTL, after beating St. Louis on Friday night.  This proved for a tough game for TC.  Behind by only 1 point after the 3rd quarter, CAGSTL took a lead to begin the 4th quarter, which TC just couldn't regain.

All-State Recognition: Leanne Cleveland - 2nd team All-state

The teams the Crusaders faced at state will definitely help prepare the girls against teams in the conference tournament this coming weekend.

Tri-City Cheerleaders recieved 1st place for the 3rd year in a row in the non-music division of the cheerleading competition.

Friday - Cheerleading

Tri-City was one of 5 schools in the non-music division this year.  They performed 5th, because of alphabetical order.  TC fluid routine and use of tumbling kept the crowd cheering and involved.  The Crusaders had no dropped stunts, and kept together in their movements during cheers.

The girls appreciated the support from friends and family during the competition.

Results will be announced at the awards ceremony tomorrow after the championship 4A boys game.

Girls' Bracket

Thursday

Tri-City Lady Crusaders and Cheerleaders arrived in Joplin with plenty of time to check into the hotel before heading to the first round of games of the weekend.

TC met against the #2 seeded North County Crusaders at 5:30.  TC held North County from scoring for the first 3 minutes of the game, however, North County's fast breaks gave them a quick lead.  TC was down 10-32 at half, but came out in the 2nd half with a desire to play well and was able to double their score in only 8 minutes.  Every girl was able to get some playing time and contribute to the team.  There was great encouragement from whoever was on the bench at the time and improved communication on the court as well.  TC's final score was 29-50.

The Crusaders will see St. Louis Christian tomorrow at 6:00 pm.  TC met up against St. Louis earlier in the season and hope to pull out a win this time, having improved throughout the season.
