In general, the purpose of our athletic program is to develop Christlikeness. "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son." (Romans 8:29). More specifically, the athletic program seeks to glorify God by developing Christ-like character and a servant spirit. "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (Philippians 2:3-8).
     As representatives of Tri-City Christian School, each participant is expected to demonstrate Christ-like character on and off the court/field/mat and to support the philosophy and policies of the school. "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity" (I Timothy 4:12).
